All this talk about cockatrices and basilisks was making Avalon confused. From what she had read about them, they shared a lot of the same qualities. But was looking a cockatrice directly in the eye as deadly as a basilisk? Were they really the same thing? Her hand went up. And for the part about how to survive one.....her honest answer would be to just cross your fingers and hope for the best.
