The first year's attention was snapped back around at the question posed and, mostly, the blonde kept quite while he listened. Until once again he was sparked by the commentary of two of his classmates, specifically an older Ravenclaw girl [AlwaysSnapesGirl] and fellow first year Gryffindor Delilah.
"Muggles confuse the two terms because of translation conflicts in their texts...there is very little to confuse between the two creatures in reality. One is a giant serpent a the other a hybrid creature resembling a rooster and a reptile." His weary blue eyes drifted over towards the hooded figures who were starting to remind him of dementors. Couldn't see their faces and they sucked the joy out of the air. "There...really...isn't anything to...be confused between the two..in reality.." He mumbled as a bit of an afterthought before looking down as his hands and finding the hangnail there to be absolutely FASCIANTING.
