Gross. Curtis could just about hear and see all that was happening and you know what he felt? Nothing. Some of them were acting like he did when he was younger, you know, challenging the adults because they liked to abuse their power. The very thing that irked him. He felt power should be used to your advantage but not just to show it off like that, that just invited a challenge.

Why start off small like this? Not that anyone should die, but this form of branding and removing mouths is weird. Just weird. This just incited others to band together against them later on.
