Oh Merlin oh Merlin oh Merlin. Bernadette was going to pee her pants like that first year boy had done at the feast. This just went from bad to real bad. For all her talk of bravery! and vive la révolution! and whatever else Bernie at 22:00 last night had said... this Gryffindor wasn't saying much now.
In fact, she'd thrown both hands over her own mouth, partially to make sure it was still there and partially to cover the look of shock and horror she was now making. There were kids with no mouths. She didn't like Kinsay James and agreed that she spoke incessantly most of the time, but even she did not deserve that. Could that be undone?! What kind of spell was that?! Couldn't he have just... silencio'd them or something?! Even she was guilty of casting silencio on first years before, but this... this was the stuff of NIGHTMARES.
Plus, the LIARS! So many kids all had big ugly pimples on their foreheads spelling out the word LIAR now. How atrocious! How were they going to get those off?! Bernie just didn't KNOW what to do. She didn't even know the new Transfiguration professor's name!!!!! HOW COULD SHE HELP??!??!
She kept her hands over her mouth and sank into a half-squat/half-seated position on the floor. UM. NO, she was not answering that question. Because, all things considered, less than five years ago, Bernie had been a Muggle herself. She didn't understand what was wrong with that??? It was kind of... up to fate, right? To decide if you were a wizard or Muggle?
She didn't understand the question, so much as she'd written on her form, she wouldn't respond to it. She would, however, listen to everyone else, her blue eyes quite quite wide.
