Emmerson felt her heart skip several million beats when Kizzy yelled her protest to the words on the board. Of course they had made EMM angry, too, but she was really hoping to fly under the radar. She was hoping they'd be angry about it together--quietly--then get some ice-cream in the kitchen after. It was gonna be a whole thing and it would have been great.
Unfortunately....Kizzy was yelling. Even more unfortunate, one of the Flamsteed twins was jumping in.
That could only mean one thing. She had to defend Kinsay James's honour. It was the noble thing to do. The only thing to do. If Kizzy got hexed to death in the next second....then it looked like she was going that way, too.
Emm sucked in a deep breath, stealing her resolve in the face of the gorgeous man who gave her the skeevies. There was something about the way he looked at them... It reminded her a lot of Trent last year, really (which brought her to certain realisations) and the way he outright SAID they were disposable.
Welp.
It had been a nice life but bestfriend was important. "You're being nothing but a BULLY! Kizzy is NOT incessant! You can't just write things on the board and say they're true!"
