~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. “I’m Claudine.’’ The dark haired girl wasn’t going to volunteer more information that necessary about herself as usual. “Did the train ride tire you, Isabella?’’ Also… did she just ask Curtis about a Sorting Hat complaint? How interesting.
Had Claudine noticed that Trent was missing. Of course. Did she care? Not in the least. She’d had enough of the man, to be honest. What she did notice and was trying not to let bother her, were the absences of Eris and Fuller-Thompson. Two more of her favourite professors were gone. Fun fact: this was actually bothering her. But speaking of the latter professor… “Yeah,’’ the fifth year replied somewhat grumpily to Curtis. “Your father enjoying his time away from Hogwarts then?’’ It was at that moment a reminder came to her: this was Curtis’ final year. Soon he’d be off too. Could Claudine get any grumpier? Yes, she could.
Oh, look. More baby Slytherins. It looked like the House had a good batch of them this year. Claudine wondered if most, or any of them were troublesome and amusing. With Curtis leaving, she needed a replacement to entertain her during classes with silly antics. “Welcome, Delaney, Cornelia. I’m Claudine.”
Then there was the not-so-new-baby Slytherin {Lilith}. Claudine returned the girl’s wave and smile with a nod. And then came Nem. This fifth year was always happy to see them. “Don’t know, don’t care,’’ she replied honestly though she knew that Trent seemingly had a soft spot for Nem. At least, during lessons because of Nem’s quick thinking and reasonings. Claudine could not say if they felt the same for the man. |
