Tadhg didn't explain to her what a step stool was, he just said that her idea of a ladder was better. Bella looked around the shop too for the sight of a shop assistant but nobody was in sight. Being as short as the boy she was with she agreed. "Yes, let's go ask our mums." It seemed easiest since Bella didn't own her own wand yet or knew any spells and she doubted that Tadgh had one either.
Turning Bella gestured for Tadgh to tag along as she headed back through the crowd toward the counter to find her mother. It was cool that she got his accent right. Feeling proud Bella asked with a sideways glance at Tadgh. "Are you starting your first year at Hogwarts in september too?"
Tadhg could tell she was confused by what a step stool was, so he decided to explain it to her.
" A step stool is a cross between stairs and a stoolm" His mother told him that cause it was called a kick step where he was from, but she been to America and things were called things there. He didn't have his wand yet, but being from a purebred family he knew some spells. He nodded.
"Good idea, better than waiting as well for the shopkeeper." The place was packed, so it might take awhile.
Following her he looked through the crowd for his mother who was by the jellybeans that made different sounds. It wasn't that hard to say his name, just pay attention to the pronunciation and don't try to pronounce it without him explaining the pronunciation to them. That was a pet peeve for him, people trying to say his name and slaughter it completely. Tadhg nodded.
" Yeah I am, I can't wait to start my family been all mixed my dad was a Slytherin and my mum was a Hufflepuff but my Uncle was a Gryffindor." It wouldn't matter what house he'll be in, he knew his parents would be proud no matter what.
