Quinn nodded at the girl's apology, still not looking up at her. He was grateful she wasn't too mad, but he was still cautious about acting like everything was normal; he didn't want to peeve her anymore than he already had.
So, when she asked him what he thought about having tea, he was slightly taken aback. Quinn looked up at her and blinked. Had she already gotten over it? "Um... no, I'm alright," he said, then turned to the shopkeep. "Thank you for offering, though."
As for the watercolours, Quinn was keen to see them. He was happy his new acquaintance was interested in them as well. "I'd like to see the watercolours as well, please. I quite like art, though I'm not much good at any of it." We. This gesture didn't go unnoticed for Quinn. He managed a small smile at this, though the relief of no longer being in the doghouse was dampened by his nerves for meeting an owl. "Ah, well, they're not, um... they'll be fine seeing us? They won't get startled or be aggressive or... anything..?" Quinn was nervous around new animals, and owls were very new for him. He had only seen some at the zoo, but he had never been up close with one. And he knew he never wanted to be on the wrong end of their talons.
