It was something for Zeke, actually, that Zachaël was working on when the two youngsters stepped into his shop. Pausing his whittling to toss his curly chocolate locks aside, the shopkeeper vanished some wood shavings away with a pass of his hand and observed the pair for a moment.
"If there is anything either of you are looking for in particular, please let me know."
Which then prompted a sharp SCREEEEEEEEEECH from a few of the owls on their perches behind him.
"I was not addressing either one of you," he chuckled, swinging his shoulders around to look back at them. "Especially you," he continued as he waved one of his weathered fingers towards a barn owl. "You have had plenty already and I've got a shipment for you later so rest up."
Quinn jumped at the screeching of the owls, putting a hand on his heart. After a glance at them, he turned to the shopkeep.
"Ah, it's my first time here, so I'm just having a look around... I thought that the postcards would be nice to look at, so... yeah."
He gave one last fleeting look at the owls before turning back towards the postcard rack. He leaned around the girl in front of him, taking a look at some of the postcards from a distance.
