If heart eyes were real, they would be bugging out of their sockets right now. Sammy looked gorgeous. He always did. They were a very beautiful couple, both blonde, both baby faced and both coming from excellent genes. He was the sort of arm candy any girl would want—which meant she had to be prepared to attack people.
And she was.
Of course, she was genuinely glad to see her friend and be spending time with him but the thing was.....she.....really liked him. Samuel Summers did things to her heart like her bradycardia did—only different—and she wanted to spend as much time with him as she possibly could.
Before she left, her mama tried reminding her to keep things light and friendly but how did one look at Sammy and NOT see a wedding and three kids??? It was iMpOsSiBlE.
Emm returned his grin with one of her own. “I got the ones we both like.” The perfect, thoughtful girlfriend. “Here’s your spoon!”
Beneath the table, her feet kicked eagerly as she tried to diffuse some of the adrenaline coursing through her. “I was thinking we could take a walk after. Maybe go to the joke shop or the candy shop. I got you something!”
