Open! *randomly tagged* | Norbert(a) | The Wandmaker (tm) Radhika had spent a good portion of the morning crying. She'd been changed, fed, rocked, burped, snuggled, and anything else that Conley could think of to do. He was tired. She was tired. He wished Sachin were home, but business had called him away to India and frankly, Conley was starting to think that their daughter just wanted her other father home. Maybe she liked him more? Maybe Sachin was just better with handling the little girl's wails. Maybe Conley was just a bad dad.
So wishing very strongly for a big cup of coffee, Conley walked into the Daycare probably for the first time, happy to be dropping Radhika off. Did he feel guilty for feeling this way? Immensely, but his head was looking forward to a break from the little girl's wails.
It didn't matter though, he'd be back in an hour or two to check on her. "Alight little lady," he said shifting her in his arms. The action made the diaper bag slid down his arm. He sighed and tried shifting it back up. It didn't budge and all he did was jostle Radhika around. "Papa has to go to work. I'll be back to have lunch with you alright?" Radhika's wails just seemed to get a little louder at the words.
