On another day and in another time the sight of a feline patronus would have sent Airey Flamsteed into an elaborate and entirely unnecessary fright where he may have hidden under his desk...or on it. Perhaps climbed the top of one of the bookcases within the office. Today was not one of those. In fact, the man had been tempted to continue his experimentation with his new wand and see if a patronus could be destroyed. Perhaps another day. He had appearances to maintain and better use for the wand later when he continued further interrogation efforts in private.

His midnight navy robes billowing behind him, the department head descended upon the Hall of Prophecy and took a moment to recollect himself. Which included taking another sharp sip from his flask before tucking it safely away within the enchanted breast pocket of his suit.

"Sweet solstice...what in Orion's belt is going on in here? Black?! Howard?! Where are you?"

And how quickly could they resolve this issue so he could get back to more important matters? Matters that included a rendezvous with Alphonsine.
