It seemed that they would be making bluebell flames. Naya was glad of that. She really liked the blue flames and anything that would keep them warm was appreciated. Did Williamson really need to tell everyone not to direct the flames toward any Yeti’s? After thinking about it for a moment, she realized that given this lot.......the answer was yes.......probably so.
Ready to get to work, Naya took out her wand and waved it toward the firewood. “Flammae Caeruleum”, she said, and was happy to see the bluebell flame appear. Success. Would they be warming food soon? Naya was starting to get hungry. Good thing she had packed plenty of snacks in her backpack. Just in case.
Cole stood with the group as Professor Williamson started to explain what they we’re doing next; learning how to make bluebell flames. When Naya came up to stand beside him he silently slipped his gloved hand into hers with a silent smile pursing his lips. Maybe he could transfer some warmth to her that way? She looked cold.
It was thoughtful of Professor W to teach them a spell that would keep them all warm and toasty in this cold climate and through the night. He wasn’t going to direct any flames towards a yeti, in any circumstance. He might be a lion out to his fingertips, but he wasn’t stupid.
Producing his wand from his jacket pocket, Cole let go of Nayas hand reluctantly as he turned his attention toward a pile of snow. Waving his wand toward the snow he said firmly with confidence. "Flammae Caeruleum." And smiled to himself as the bluebell flames melted the pile of snow into a nice little snow puddle at his feet. "Extinguo!" Cole casted to extinguish the flames even if he liked the warmth they produced. Could they warm soup next? He was getting hungry.
