So he settled himself on the stage in the room to catch his breath. "Well," he looked to Ivy expectantly, "I don't see any monsters. Do you?"
When Ivy came to the classroom and saw the stage and dueling area empty, she felt her stomach clench all over again. She spun around in a circle trying to see any sign of her classmates, then ran to the closed classroom door and pressed her ear to it but she couldn’t hear anything.
”No, but Professor they were HERE.” She gestured desperately around the room.
”We came in and Headmaster Trent was on the stage reading some papers, and it was like he completely forgot about class because he didn’t have anything ready. When he noticed us he told us to just do whatever we wanted, and you know how he always has everything planned. Then he stopped us and started talking about the forest...”
Ivy stopped babbling and gasped, covering her mouth with her hand. What if he had already taken them to the forest?
Without explanation, she ran to a high window facing the grounds and started jumping trying to see out of it, but she was too short. Taking out her wand, she cleverly thought to use the charm they had just learned.
”Ascendio!” she said as she pointed her wand in the air. In her panic, she was a bit overzealous and ended up rising past the window, but as she did she saw what looked like red sparks over the trees in the forest.
Coming back down hard, she wobbled a little and turned back to the professors.
”Look! Looook!” she urged them as she pointed to the window.
”Someones sending up sparks in the forest!”
