Or it HAD been in hand because he had turned it in and then blushed when he saw Professor Flamsteed was a chaperon on this trip. And now he was second guessing his wardrobe...namely what Eliza may have slipped in there to embarrass and tease him. He would not put it past her to do something and laugh about imagining what his face looked like when he discovered ... whatever it was.
Anyway. Just...not...yeah...no...thinking about something else.
Blushing a bit more at his own thoughts, Josh ruffled his hair and came to a stop beside a younger Slytherin girl. Looking around a bit, he spotted Phoebe and waved at her. Or waved her down? Group up? He also spotted his little Herbology buddy, Mamie, that he was feeling pretty protective of BUT...she seemed well taken care of and in a group of four already. "You wanna group up?" he asked the girl near him as he pulled his hand from his hair. "I'm Josh."
'Wanna group up?'
Startled, Serena followed the sound of the voice who had introduced himself and was surprised to find a much older Gryffindor boy in front of her. This was new, usually she attracted first years and second years like moths to a candle light, but this was the first time she had actually spoken to an older student.
"Oh, uh Sure. That would be great actually!" She said unsurely, her hand rising to a lame wave Honestly, this is why she didn't have any friends"Nice to meet you Josh, I'm Serena" She smiled at him. "What year are you in?"
