For some reason, it didn't really surprise Avalon that they were heading into the Forest. Trent had been acting bizarre all lesson, so she was expecting an equally bizarre activity. The weird thing was that the Headmaster seemed to want them to do the dirty work for him. But what were they supposed to be looking for? He didn't even give them any clues.

The Prefect was scanning the crowd gathered in the clearing for a partner when she was approached by Violet. Even though she was young, it might be good to have a Slytherin on hand. They were known for being resourceful, right? "Sure," Avalon replied. "Wands at the ready, then?" She clutched her own wand tightly in her hand, glancing at her partner to see if she was ready before heading off to the right of the clearing.

Hopefully she wouldn't die today.
