It was a cold day, but that didn't bother Louise too much. The young Gryffindor just bundled up with an extra sweater under her coat and thick socks. Visiting the creatures on the grounds had been a common occurrence for her. WWW's class was certainly her favorite, and by far the class with the best grades. But she also just found comfort in visiting the creatures. They weren't as loud as the people inside the castle. They were typically much more friendly, too.
As she arrived at the sanctuary, Louise reached into her pocket for the snacks she had packed for the creatures. She let herself into the enclosed sanctuary and wandered around, clicking her tongue in her normal rhythm to invite her creature friends to come see her. A few jarveys came scampering along, familiar with her call, and sniffed around for the treats.
"Hi pretzel," Louise said with a laugh as her favorite jarvey climbed up her side and perched on her shoulder. She gave him a treat first before handing a treat to the others. "How is everyone today? Enjoying the snow?" |
