Maybe she wanted to take the edge off whatever was about to happen. Maybe she wanted them to do some critical thinking or explain something about themselves. "Maybe you wanted to see an aspect of our personality that you can't see when we're in uniform. And also for the writing part you wanted to see other parts of our personality, like if we are messy with what we are wearing or forget to tie your shoes. Maybe that could tell us about ourselves."
