Sophie wondered if she should ask Ashley to hang out sometime later. They couldn't spend time in the common room because they were in different houses, but maybe they could go to the courtyard sometime before it got really cold out.

"Yeah, Sydney, Australia. I go to a lot of places. You aren't alone in the swimming thing. Believe it or not, there are a lot of people there at the beach who can't swim either. It's not really important in places where there is no water. Yeah, when I get out of Hogwarts I want to be a healer or an animal handler." She sighed. "I really want to be a lifeguard, because you can help people and go to the beach. Imagine if you only knew the airway-clearing spell and the bubble-head spell. So many people wouldn't die. And they wouldn't have to do so much cpr. But I doubt we are allowed to use magic to help muggles. Probably end up getting arrested." She looked out the window gain. "The wizarding world is pretty great. And your dad is right. It's hard to keep magic a secret. Because it's fun and you could help people." Ashley wisely decided not to say more about the subject, because she knew you weren't supposed to share magic with muggles. "We should hang out sometime."
