"Hello, sir," he greeted, offering a smile conveying more unabashed joy than he felt as he closed the door behind him, then faced him to properly survey the situation. Still cozy, lots of papers, a nice breeze, an apple... Truthfully, Teddy perceived that the professor could use a break from whatever he was working on, but out of respect and politeness, he chimed, "Thank you for having me in. I hope I'm not interrupting?" It was a question, just to be sure, but even so, Teddy was taking tentative steps to join him at the table.
