~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Claudine didn’t need Heath to answer her question; she already knew the answer. She wasn’t sure how to feel about the situation. On one hand, she knew his heart was in the right place and on the other, she was one of those independent girls who didn’t need saving of any kind from a guy. She also knew that Heath was sensitive and that he could easily mistake her reaction as a negative one. Still… she’d have to talk to him about him wanting to protect her; especially if he wanted to date her. Being independent was one trait that she was not willing to give up. The Snakette watched him demonstrate but wasn’t fully convinced. It was her knowledge that Heath was working on bettering his spellwork. For now, she’d relent so the only response that came from her was a nod.
As it was, the activity ended, anyway. Claudine’s eyes darted to Heath when she heard Trent’s words and already she knew what she was going to do and the Ravenclaw wasn’t going to stop her. She headed in Trent’s direction, showed him the two sacks but said nothing. Her silence should confirm that she was the one going to detention. Once the sacks were deposited into the box, she thought of an answer to the question. She wasn’t in the mood for much talking, especially to Trent but admittedly, she did not want another essay. Not when her schedule had become more packed since she helped Williamson at the barn daily. “It’s not the wand that does bad or good things, it’s the person wielding the wand who makes that choice,’’ came her simple response, her hand raised. |
