June watched in absolute horror as the Owl tried to POOP on the older man's head, adding to his grumpiness. Oh merlin, oh merlin.
Feeling stupidly embarrassed, she quickly reached out to take the owl from him and nodded, "ah yes, it's from my sister, I wasn't expecting it though - I didn't even know she'd miss me enough to write a letter, must be something urgent" Over explanation? Very much, yes.
Self awareness? Not so much, no. He should know this is not at all how she wanted to greet him after all!
" - do you have siblings, Professor Williamson?" Wait, that is what she should call him, right??? Or was she old enough to call him Williamson? William? Sir? What a disaster.
