Catherine wished she could correct him by saying they could do it on their own, but the Headmaster had been very specific on that, so sadly she would have to have a partner if she wanted to get the activity right.

The thing was that she didn't. She didn't want to do the activity at all in the first place, and she did not want a partner with whom to duel to see who got the sack of stones. A seventh year, no less!

She looked away and frowned as captain obvious pointed out the rules that had just been set to them. She watched others shoot spells at each other to try and win, and she shook her head ever so slightly. No, thank you, she didn't want to duel like that. It was too random and she wasn't a fan.

Still, the seventh year seemed to be adamant. So she got her wand out. "I don't want to do it." Catherine told him quietly yet firmly, still not looking at him, although her wand was pointed in his general direction just in case he decided to be deceitful. "And you're not taking my sack..." She added, her eyes finally going back up to meet his to show him she meant it.
