???????????

uhhhhhhh?????????

Lucas came to a sudden stop by the Gryffindor table. Sure, seven years in this castle had taught him all he needed to know about Gryffindor house but even he couldn't prepare himself for the sheer amount of people that were surrounding the table. This wasn't his imagination, right? There were a lot more people here, all of a sudden. And, even worse, the Sorting was still taking place.

Sigh.

With a badge pinned to his chest, the Prefect forced a smile on his face as he moved along the table. He was looking out for that one familiar face but as much as he tried, he couldn't spot Jó's face anywhere along the table. He hadn't disappeared already, had he? Whatever the reason, it didn't stop him from sitting somewhere relatively close to both Cece and Cole and Naya. Though, closer to Cece because third-wheeling a couple wasn't his idea of fun. "Hey, Cole, Naya," Smile. "Looking forward to seventh year?" He certainly wasn't. "Hey, Bernie. Did you have a good summer?" That was casual enough, right?

Though, if he was being honest, it was weird to see the girl reading and not, well, bouncing around trying to make as much noise as possible.

No offence, Bernie.

Whatever the reason, it didn't take long for Lucas' attention to be turned to a small group (Charlie, Josh, and Yoyo) talking about....... uniforms?? Confused? He was. But there was also a part of him that wondered if the young Gryffindor was trying to make some kind of statement with her new ~attire~. It might seem so because Trent didn't look very happy up on his seat, if the look on his face and the sound of his voice was anything to go by.

He also wondered if there was such a thing as a normal feast at the Gryffindor table but something told him he knew the answer to that already.

Right. Sorting.

There was a young girl (Emm) who had recently been sorted into Gryffindor who was wasting NO time in talking to as many people as possible, it seemed. The seventh year could almost feel his inner self coiling up and wanting to wilt away but something told him he couldn't do that. Not when he had a responsibility and was sure that people were bound to know him, even if he didn't want them to. "Uh, hey! Welcome to Gryffindor. I'm Lucas, by the way. Lucas Dakest." Smile. He wasn't going to add in the Prefect part. There was no point, right?

Speaking of Prefects, his eyes landed on Carsyn and he..... furrowed his eyebrows. "Hey, Carsyn. Are you okay?" It was a bit early to be sad about the end of the year, wasn't it?

Cheer? His green eyes flew between Cece and the line of students being sorted up by the dias and then back again. Now, how was he meant to tell her that he was not the right person to ask about making a lot of noise? Could he skip past that? "Sure. What house do you think he'll get?" And which one was he, again?
