Which came first, the phoenix or the flame? Ashley walked up to the trolley to find some chocolate frogs. She had never seen one or had one before but she knew they were good. Her cat, Luna, was curled in her arms napping. She petted her absentmindedly, lost in her own thoughts. She had seen the boy in front of her before, at the bookstore. His name was Cole and he was a seventh year, she remembered. He probably wasn't going to notice her. Apparently he had a cat too. That wasn't strange. Almost everyone had a cat around here. She started reading from Common Magical Ailments and Afflictions, which she had in her train bag, with her self-shuffling playing cards and cat toys and... other stuff. It wasn't exactly a school book, but Ashley found it very interesting. Plus, she couldn't exactly get in trouble for extra reading, especially if it was helpful reading. It was kinda hard to get candy and read and think and pet a cat at the same time, but she was practically an expert multitasker. |
