Ingrid’s eyes began to move away from the boy now as they began taking in the bright and colourful, sugary treats tucked away in the jars around her. It was only when he mentioned that he was a muggle that she really turned back towards him, the expression on her face changing to one of understanding. He was staring earlier because he’d never been here before! It all made sense now! She herself had been here many times if only to drop her brother and sisters off for the train but she had been around Diagon Alley, if only for a few hours so she understood how he was feeling. Maybe becoming some kind of detective was her true calling when she graduated from Hogwarts!

“Muggle born? You should try everything then!. Choosing to ignore the fact that he was muggleborn because it really didn’t matter to her, she moved towards one of the jars that she could actually reach and began pouring some of the sweets out. “I love the Puckering Sour Swirls. Sour sweets are the best!”. How could someone not love the taste of something so sour it burns a hole through your tongue!

Goodness, he really did seem so skittish these days. Everything in Diagon Alley was so new and interesting he kept finding himself getting consistently distracted and lost in thought. He usually wasn't an easy person to sneak up on, liking to examine his surrounding in public just as much as the pages of a book at home, but this whole new world had him entirely thrown off his game. There were some small, tiny moments such as right now with the other girl's chuckle at his fright where he almost felt ... angry at Noah and his parents for not sharing this world with him before. Even if he hadn't been magic, he still would have wanted to learn. Hmph. "Well, I'm sure there has to be someone taller than us! Maybe the shop keeper?" And if the shopkeeper was also short, hopefully there was at least a step stool around.

"Picking something first sounds like a good idea. Then you can just tell the shop keeper what you want and they could grab all the ones you can't reach at one time!" And then ring her up and she would be good to go. "How many siblings do you have to buy for?" Noticed she said brother and sisters, but was curious how many that meant. "And how glad were you when you could finally talk to them again!?" He may or may not have cried a little, in private of course, when they finally got a letter from Noah again saying he was safe and would be home soon.

He didn't notice the look of understanding, as he was back to examining the shelves of candy again. Now he was kind of considering putting together a couple of backs of different treats for his sisters layered like a rainbow. He bet Lisa and Maya both would like that! But he didn't want to give them something gross, or too spicy or sour or something. So maybe he'd wait until he had gotten to try more things. Which... "I'd like to try everything eventually! I've only made it through a small portion so far, though. But I appreciate the suggestion on what to try next! I'll definitely get some of those for my stash!" He was a fan of sour gummy worms, so he assumed these would be good as well.
