I thought you missed the train.” Closing her book, she said, “The book is ok. It’s really just helping the time pass.”
At the kiss on the cheek, Naya turned to face Cole. Her mood fluctuated between happy and sad because even though she was going home, not seeing Cole for a while did not please Naya. Determined not to dwell on that at the moment, she went for the positive. They were together right now, so she would make the most of it. Taking Cole’s hand, she smiled. “I’m going to miss you, you know......but summer won’t last too long. Maybe we can meet in Diagon Alley again, you know? I have to get my annual frozen butterbeer.” Naya looked at her boyfriend. She never got to take that photo of him, so she’d just have to make a visual memory of him to last her all summer. Brightening up, she asked, “So what are you going to do this summer?” Cole was trying to subtly read the title of Naya’s book when he was totally distracted by the happy smile spread all over his girlfriends face at the sight of him. Sighing he shared quietly. "I almost did miss the train actually. Izzie had forgotten her beloved stuffed snake in her dorm so i had to go find Professor Noble who thankfully had taken it for safekeeping until next year. If i hadn’t found it Izzie would have been unconsolable for the whole train ride back to Kings Cross." Cole really didn’t want to picture how awful the train ride would have been. Hours trying to console his wailing sister just no, let’s talk about something else. Grabbing onto the book topic as a lifeline Cole asked "Did you borrow the book from the hoggy library?"
With Naya hand in his he pressed it as he looked into her eyes and nodded getting serious "Yes I know. I’ll miss you too lots. But as you said summer is short. I most definitely want a diagon alley date. Maybe we can owl and decide on a day when we can get our books and stuff together? With any luck I don’t have to shop with Izzie. And we can send letters to each other each week too if you want?" The frozen butterbeer though Cole wasn’t so sure about. Cold or warm butterbeer was his style. Thinking he said thoughtfully as he looked at Naya perking up "Um summer plans. I don’t know I guess I will be spending it lots with family at our newly bought country house in Scotland. Maybe swim some and go to a quidditch camp. What are you summer plans?"
