"That's really nice, Blake." She gave him a genuine, meaningful look this time, adding in a smaller voice, "thanks for inviting me. I know you didn't have to but..." It meant the world to her to have friends from school, friends who actually appreciated her and all her... ah, quirks.

She nodded confidently. "Oh don't worry... they will." And she'd answer the phone and pretend to be her own mum and everything if she had to, to make this happen. Bernie could be just as resourceful as any Slytherin, really. "Just let me know the dates you guys are thinking of going." She'd pay off her sis and her bruv to say she was somewhere else for the duration of the trip. The wheels were already turning in Bernie's brain as to how she could make this happen for herself.
