Naya had her camera hanging from one shoulder backpack on her back and Flat Newt tucked under her other arm. She decided to take him to the Great Lake because........well, it would make for a pretty photograph visually and.....what better place for him to study some interesting creatures? Thinking of all of the inhabitants of the lake, she wondered which one would interest Newt the most. Surely he had spent time here as a student, getting to know and observe the denizens of the lake.
Taking a moment to find the perfect spot, she finally decided where she would position him. It was a bit tricky because he was supposed to be looking at the lake, but she wanted the lake in the background of the picture. Fortunately she had planned ahead. She had fashioned a makeshift stand to prop him up. Placing him at just the right angle so Newt could be looking toward the lake and still be seen properly, she stood him up. Naya was thankful that the sun was in the right spot and wouldn’t interfere with her shot. She picked up her camera, checked her settings and took several pictures. Playing them back, she was satisfied that she had a good one out of the bunch. Now she had some notes to write. Taking out her parchment, she began to scribble.
Once her notes were finished, Naya gathered Nate, her camera and other belongings and headed back toward the castle. All the while, she was pondering what she would include for her presentation. She had to make it good.
