catching up Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent So they weren't brewing a potion today? Morgan furrowed his brow as he looked at the jars and burner again. What were they doing then? Oh... metallurgy. That word sounded familiar in a back part of his brain, but he didn't really know much about it. Something that had to do with metal and potions apparently.
Or was it metal allergy? Morgan listened to some of the answers, then looked a bit confused Felicia and Bertie as they talked about their allergies. Was that what Professor Potions said? Metal allergy?
He was just about to announce that he wasn't allergic to anything (as far as he could remember), so he'd be fine, but then the professor clarified a little bit more about the subject today. Yeah, he really didn't know much of any of this. But when the professor wrote down some different metals and revealed the different objects, Morgan was able to make at least one connection. "Oh, I know this one!" he said rather enthusiastically, raising his hand but not waiting to be called on. "Thermometers have mercury in them. I think it's because it's a liquid metal. And one time when I was in primary school, a kid broke one and we all had to evacuate the classroom." He wasn't exactly sure why because it was such a small amount of mercury, but early recess was plenty cool. Funny how he could remember something from a few years ago but he could hardly remember most of the names in this room.
Morgan put his hand down and looked over at Claudia and Bertie, who were writing. Oh oops, was this supposed to be a silent writing activity and not a discussion activity? Never mind then... he pulled out his textbook to help himself with the other answers.
