"Incarcerous" He said with moving his wand hand (though wand less for the moment) in the shape of the pretzel... or at least in the best pretzel shape he could muster.

The person to his right? Well, everyone moved around so the circle was messed up now and he didn't manage to look to his right. He didn't want a partner anyway. Ilya went and grabbed a pillow, set it on an empty space and sat on it. He fished out his notebook and wrote down the incantation phonetically as Carwyn said it. The wand movement was pointless to learn now with no magic, he was going to forget about it eventually...
As the class started pairing off, Carwyn watched them collect the things that they needed and he nodded. However, when all was set, he noticed two of the class sitting separately. Well that wouldn’t do - the next section needed pairs! He moved over to Blake and motioned over to where Ilya was sitting on a pillow. “Why don’t you get a piece of rope and join him. You’ll need a partner for the next part.” He nodded. “Stand up to practice once you’ve taken your notes!” And that was that. Nothing about drama, he’d already moved on. He wanted them all to learn!
SPOILER!!: Team Two = Claudine and Heath

Oh well.
“Incarcerous,’’ came the repeat as Eerie instructed. “In-KAR-sir-us, In-KAR-sir-us.’’ How on earth was she to remember all of that information. Claudine hoped there would be notes provided by Eerie after the lesson. But of course this exercise required a partner. Claudine glanced to her right and was surprised to find that it was Heaten {Heath} standing there. Had he been by her side all this while? She tilted her head back to look up into his face because, you know… he was considerably taller than her. “Partner,’’ Claudine announced. It wasn’t a question. Somehow she knew he’d agree; he was her friend, right?
Without a word, the Snakette left and returned soon after with a pillow and rope. They were set down between her and Heaten as instructed. “So… practice time.’’ She threw him a bewildered look.
What was the incantation again?

Heath blinked in confusion as whe professor mentioned wand flourishes - or more accurately, not to do them. Okay, that was going to be hard! He loved dramatic wand movements; must be the actor in him. Way to take the fun out of everything… Hold on, did he just say the wand movement was a pretzel shape? Ugh, he knew that! Now he wished he’d spoken up when he had the chance.
Heath was so distracted by… whatever just happened that he completely forgot about finding a partner until a familiar voice jerked him out of his thoughts. Partner? Who, him? He glanced to his left and saw Claudine. Why do I have to be so tall and odd-looking? He inwardly berated himself for towering over her. He bowed his head to get a proper look at her, tucking his hair behind his ears to keep it out of his eyes for once in his life. “Partner,” he replied with a nod and a warm smile.
So… wasn’t there something they were supposed to get? Heath started to ask Claudine, but she’d already gone to fetch their rope and pillow. “Right… practice,” he said, returning her bewildered look with one of his own. What were they practicing again? He wracked his brains, desperately trying to recall. “I think the wand movement goes like this…” He drew his now-defunct wand, tracing a pretzel shape in the air, but as for the incantation, he had no idea!
“Do you remember the incantation?” He was prety sure it started with I... and wasn't there a "KAR" in ther somewhere?
As Carwn moved away from matching up the boys, he was happy to see that Claudine and Heath had paired up. Fantastic. He liked when people were paired up randomly - it always seemed so interesting for their working! Just as he walked past them, he heard the boys question. “Incarcerous, Mr Joe.” He nodded his head. “Incarcerous.” He looked between them both, “Say it now…” He encouraged them with a smile.
SPOILER!!: Team Three = Carsyn and Bernie

Also what was up with that ravenclaw boy pulling on Bernie's hair? And Bernie stomped back on his foot? Was she that childish at Bernie's age? Sure she made dumb choices but she didn't recall being petty?
She had of course been completely lost in reminiscing that she had forgotten about the question(s) that Professor Iris had asked. Probably related to the conjuration spell incancerous? And they moving on to practicing ??
Glancing to her right she spotted Bernie there in her new spot. Must not let on to her how pointless she thought this was "So uh.... incantation and wand movement?"
Carwyn continued his circle around the room and smiled at the two Gryffindors as they practiced. He had nodded and repeated the spell for them again to help them remember. It was such a struggle but they would get there. He knew they would! He believed in them … Wait, what was he dong? He looked at the girls, gave them a smile and continued on his rounds after looking at the parchment to remind himself.

"So...wanna work together then?"

Unless they were hypothetically trapping for more insidious reasons?
She was so stuck in her rabbit hole of trap holes that she missed the rest of the commotion and the second question. Which was probably fine, considering she didn't have much to offer about this subject anyways. She knew nothing.
Hearing a voice to her left, and noting that it was thankfully familiar, K nodded her head and gave a thumbs up towards Aboli. "Want me to go get the rope and a pillow so we can get started on our incarcerated spell?" Which... would be interesting. Practicing magic without the ability to DO magic seemed off, but they couldn't just NOT have lessons the rest of the year so... hopefully they could retain what happened this class period.
Seeing the girls working together already, Carwyn smiled at them especially as they got their things and got straight down to work. See, his students were soooo hard working. He grinned at them, and stayed around for a minute or two to help with any pronunciation issues that they had, and then continued on to the next group.
They were doing so well! Now, what was next? Raising his hand to once again look at the paper in his hand and keep himself on track, he found his hand empty and the parchment slowly floating its way to the floor as he looked down. Frowning, the Professor looked at his hand again, and although it was raised higher than it hand be at his side it was very much still in the position of holding the paper and yet… the parchment had just handed on the ground.
Without calling attention to the class to stop practicing, he straightened his fingers out and crouched down to pick it up, sure he had simply let it go without realising. However as he bent to pick it up his fingers moved straight through the transparent parchment. …. That was different.
Thankfully the parchment had landed text up, he quickly read his writing but frowned as he read the second part of the mini activity only said
PILLOWS!!! … He sighed, frustrated at his memory because he had no idea what they were meant to be doing with said pillows.
No matter, they only had 15 minutes left of class, so he’d just move onto the main activity. No matter.
”Okay everyone, lets move on.” He smiled at them all, waiting for their attention to be turned to him. “Great! You seem to be coming on really well with the incantation, so now, comes the fun part!” He chuckled, as fun as they could have without magic anyway. “Firstly, please remember that when you are moving around with your wands, you need to obviously be very careful to not hurt anyone else.” Just like running with scissors, hmmmmm. No poking people in the eyes or sides or anywhere else. “With that said and due to the glitching, we won’t use them today but just a safety note.”
He was babbling. What was he talking about? Ah yes. The Game!
“For the last 15 or so minutes, we’re going to play a game. If we were truly trying to ensnare someone or wrap them up with incarcerous, the likelihood is that they would be moving around. So here is what you are going to do in your pairs.
“One of you, will move around the classroom while your partner tries to catch you! The person who is running, will hold the pillow in front of them - preferably against your chin so that most of your face and chest will be protected.” He couldn’t cast cushioning charms, so this and the mats on the floor would be all the protecting they would get from any trips, falls and rope marks.
“The person who is chasing you, will be using the rope. You will need to say the incantation, and then try to catch them with the rope - whether you want to make a loop, put it over their heads… etc. How you use the rope is up to you but do not use it with the sole intention of hurting each other. This is meant to be fun.” He looked around at them all.
“I want you to each have a shot at running and caching - if you manage to complete that and you still have time left, feel free to swap with another pair and have a second go at it. “ He looked around at them.
Sound good? All sorted? …….. “Go!”
OOC: Hi everyone, sorry RL happened and made me a few hours late.
We’re moving on the MAIN ACTIVITYYYY now! *cheers* I hope you have fun with this. Start off in the pairs you picked - generally this will take about two or three posts each to get the full cycle, if you manage to catch each other on the first go. You can do it as slowly or as quickly as you want, just enjoy it!
As always if you have any questions, let me know and class will be open until night time on the 10th.
