Had he found magic and accidentally made things worse? Technically yes. Was he a madman? Hopefully not. He was about to jump in to try and save whatever was left of his dignity when he heard the voice. Now THIS was an exciting turn of events! Forget an article, he'd have enough material to publish an entire BOOK!
"How odd." The voice sounded friendly enough and it saved him from further social ridicule. He pulled out his notebook and began scribbling down some notes. Might forget all of this later, best to get it jotted down.
