David blinked and put his hand to his forehead, automatically pinching the small space above his nose but betwixt his eyebrows. He did this sometimes even when he wasn't wearing any glasses. "When did I reveal that to you?" he asked, partly puzzled by her statement about the Ministry and partly just... just mentally needing to steel himself for something resembling a conversation with the strange one before him. Was this going to be a conversation or was she annoyed with him already?
He had wandered closer to her and her pots without really intending to, but here he was. "But I do draw connections easily." It was true; it was one of his personality traits, this ability to take in information and maipulate use it to his advantage. As though to prove this, he gestured with a light swirl of his index finger to the pot in her hand and then up toward her pale face, tucking this pointer finger back in his pocket quickly. "For example, your mentioning of... what, mending pots with gold?" It was an imperfect translation and to tell the truth, he knew NOTHING in-depth about kintsugi. But he had, at least, heard of it.
