Being considerate was the decent thing. Islay respected that, and if she had known Ewan better, she would have probably thanked him for being a decent human and not one of those run of the mill bargain basement blokes that seemed to little the halls of Hogwarts. What? She didn’t really have the best track record with knowing nice people unless you thought of the people she considered her friends. “Oh, I know,” she shrugged, “but it’s the nice thing to do – I get them too so I’d always try and be helpful about it” she admitted with a soft smile. Of course, he didn’t have to take the meds – even if it were just a box of unopened meds. It was still smart. “if it helps – sometimes pressing on the bridge of the nose has helped for me...at least with releasing pressure” she gave him a soft smile. It was a-okay if he didn’t trust her.

He was lucky to have been able to spend all this time here, she would have both loved and hated it herself. Still, if she had been here there was a chance that everything would be so different now and some people may never have become friends and we wouldn’t want that. Still, as she stood there the empathetic Gryffindor felt like the prefect needed support. Maybe not her support, but that was the thing, she was there. “well, if you aren’t...I get it” she spoke so softly it was almost inaudible.

When he reached out his hand she couldn’t help but notice the slight half-moon shaped indentations of fingernails. She didn’t say anything, knowing full well that she too clenched her hands so tightly whenever she had her own panic attacks. “I find it does,” she admitted softly, as she placed the cold smooth stone into his outstretched palm. “also uh...if you need it I’d offer you some of the tea blend I make – its basically a mix of lemon, lavender, and chamomile” she admitted with a grin. After all, she always was the type to want to help people whenever she saw them going through pain. No matter if she knew what it was.

The frown that now resided on his face was more due to the throbbing than anything Islay had said. If anything, he would usually have smiled at her for being so kind and offering him some medication. Part of him felt a little self-conscious about the fact that he was now walking around with a frown again but this time, he really couldn’t help it. It was almost like toothache. A pain that was just always there on the precipice of his consciousness, poking and prodding his every waking thought but never truly enough to cripple him.

It wasn’t exactly that he didn’t trust her though. It was just that he simply didn’t know her all that well apart from the odd interaction in lessons. This wasn’t entirely surprising though. There were people in his own year who he’d actually known from his first year who he didn’t actually know. They were just names to the faces of people who he didn’t really talk to. ”Migraines really are a pain. I mean, they just make it so hard to think”, his voice quiet now as a hand came up to the bridge of his nose. He sort of felt a little stupid rubbing the bridge of his nose but why not try?

Had his head not been pounding to he beat of an unknown drum and bass song, he might have actually had a chance of hearing her softly spoken words of comfort but right now, that was not possible. Instead, he simply gazed down at the smooth, weird shaped rock that she had given him in curiosity. What was it that seemed to help? Did it have some unknown minerals inside that released something into the air? Was it simply the action of keeping ones mind busy and focusing on something? He really had no idea when it come to there weird homebrew methods. Part of him was almost tempted to go look for a book in the library about such methods but another part, a more lazy part of him simply wanted to run off to the prefects bathroom and bathe in silence.

”Tea? Uh…”. Pausing for a second, the prefect actually smiled briefly as he looked into the warm eyes of the sixth year lion in front of him. She was a little different. Weird but in a friendly sort of way. ”Sure, I could go for a cup of tea I guess. I mean, it’s not like it could make it worse” or at least, he hoped it wouldn’t. That, he could no cope with.
