And thus far, the street food has always proved to be both tasty and slightly cheaper option.

She made her way over to the stall to get a Cauldron Bowl, making her order and then stepping out of the way to wait for her food as they prepped it. It was definitely brisk out today, but nothing she wasn't used to from Alaska. Nonetheless, she pulled her coat a little tighter and crossed her arms as she waited.

London in January had nothing on Boston’s January weather! While other people were running around town in heavy coats and scarves, Kalen was happily popping around in a lightweight gray pea coat, a scarf that was Wampus colors hung loosely under the collar of the pea coat. Two things had gone wrong for the young American this morning. 1) his alarm hadn’t gone off and he’d almost been late for his morning classes, 1a) he therefore hadn’t been able to eat breakfast. 2) Classes had (of course) run long on him. So he was hungry. Starving really. Sure, he was in university and could have just stayed home, but skipping classes wouldn’t help him in the long run. As much as he loved quidditch, he really wanted to ditch the feathers and don the cross as soon as possible. And speaking of feathers, his new job as the Falmouth Falcon’s mascot provided him with more pocket change that he had expected.

So why was he traipsing around Diagon Alley when he could have found a corner pub to eat at in Edinburgh and therefore be closer to university and his flat? Books! That was why. Stupid books! He needed to pop into the bookstore and find a copy Casper Striker’s Qudditch Injuries 204. But first things first:

FOOD!

Kalen found himself drawn to a vendor cart where a young lady around his age had just ordered. ”That sounds good. I’ll have one too, please.” He dug into a pocket for some coins to pay.
