Even though she did not like to go out too much because of the strange weather, she really wanted to take Flat Newt to the Great Lake. She was sure that this is one place Newt Scamander frequented when he was a young student at Hogwarts. Not only was it a good spot to relax, but there were a lot of interesting magical creatures here. She wondered if he went into the lake to see the grindylows and merpeople. He was probably good friends with the giant squid, if it was alive then. This location could help her come up with some good ideas for stories. She just had to write them down and take a picture before she forgot.
Jina put her cardboard Newt down on the shore, making sure it would not get wet. She was about to take a picture, when a few of those translucent strangers appeared in the camera's field of view. Ugh, she did not want them in her picture, she had enough of them in her daily life. But they were just minding their own business and she could not tell them to move, so she was the one who had to move. She picked up the cardboard piece and walked away from the "ghost" students. When she set it down at a spot with no one else around, she snapped a photo. The scenery was usually beautiful, but the red sky ruined it.
Now, the picture was taken and she was sure that she had to do something else. She decided to try to remember the next task while packing up. She returned Flat Newt and the camera into her bag and sat down. She came down to the lake to do this assignment ... which requires taking a picture of Newt and ... aha! Writing notes to prepare for the final presentation. She quickly took out some writing equipment and jotted down her ideas:
Quote:
- this is where he hangs out and learns about creatures that live underwater
- with the use of gillyweed, spends an hour at a time swimming in the lake
- uses his DADA knowledge to defend himself against grindylows, e.g. revulsion jinx
- studies Mermish so that he can communicate with merpeople both under and out of water
- good friends with the giant squid, tickles its tentacles and plays with it
When she was done, she looked at the red sky absent-mindedly for a while, then sighed and stood up. It was again time to try to remember what she had to do next.
