It was a fake but Juliette was going to keep lying until Bernie believed her. "No, there's one named after the little red monster. Because they have the same... eyes," Juliette lied. She hoped she sounded convincing. She only knew of it because of the show that her uncle put on for her and Evie to watch when they were little kids. "I think there's one named Babar too." Lie.
Eviction. So weird. Juliette wondered who did the evictions... and if she could be in charge of them one day. It sounded like it could be fun minus the people crying over losing the- yeah, maybe evictions weren't something she'd be comfortable doing. "It's only fun sometimes... if they take a long time to do the renovations I get to sleep over at my aunt & uncle's house so that's fun..." Juliette just came up with a brilliant idea. "Oh! You should come visit some time! We have a lot of creatures but other than that, you could totally come visit me and my mum and our house elf and we could break some stuff and choose things to replace it with!" Juliette had only broken one lamp once because she had hated it... and unfairly blamed it on the crup. But she got to pick an awesometastical one afterwards so it was worth it. "Beezley, you are quite simply the best!" Juliette beamed. It definitely had to be a big cake to fit all the words. Bernie and her probably wouldn't need to eat dinner afterwards. Or they'd get a giant stomachache but they could roll the dice and find out later. She was just as excited as Bernie and followed suit, grabbing a stool as well. And hearing a finger snap meant that the magic of cooking was under w-
What?
She looked right back at Bernie, matching the frown and gave a slight shrug of her shoulders. She hadn't sat down in her stool yet when she saw the poor house elf start banging her head. "Bernie... what's going on?" she asked quietly, eyes wide at the elf as Bernie tried to console her. And though she really had wanted the cake, she didn't want the house elf to bang her poor head over it. "Beezley," Juliette started, feeling sad over the loss of cake and the terrible sight before her, "It's just a cake... we don't really want that anyways..." she lied. Maybe if they said they didn't want it anymore then Beezley would stop and get some rest. Did house elf magic have a limit? Maybe Beezley had been working too hard. "And if you keep banging your head, you're going to make us both very upset and cry."
Was that going to work? Juliette found threatening to cry worked against some adults... she wasn't sure if it would work against a house elf since Poppy never made her cry before.
