He didn't know where Genny was gesturing for them to go sit, but he followed the group to the..... stairs, apparently? Why did they have to sit over here, so far away? It was illogical to travel this far with their precious, warm sandwiches, but he could tell Genny needed some food before hearing any of his remarks. So Davie just shrugged and sat on a different step than her to begin slowly eating his sandwich. Of course, he had just taken a large bite when Sam brought up a dating experiment? Dating? Him?!! Never!!!! Davie tried not to choke on a chunk of falafel.
"It is a c-contest," he stammered, still shocked that THEY WERE DISCUSSING HIM! Why! "But it has nothing to do with dating. It is beauties versus brains." Davie busied himself with his sandwich to avoid further questioning, thanks. Quote:

Okay, so they both corrected him. It was a "contest," not an experiment. Uh huh, right. Sam let his expression speak for itself. "I see." He unwrapped his sandwich and spoke again before he took a bite. "So, what's the point behind it?" This sounded a lot like a muggle television show.
Wow, they were lazy. The stairs were RIGHT THERE, a street away. It was all fine and dandy. She appreciated the submissiveness for both of them today, though. Now that they were all settled in, she bit into her delish sandwich and enjoyed Sam sitting next to her and being supportive even though she was being difficult today.
"Oh it is about dating," Genny corrected Davie, talking in all seriousness but there was a trolling subtext to her words. "They have smart people, like our boy David, and beautiful people team up to solve puzzles or do dares or whatever. It's basically setting people up." She knew exactly what she got him into. Please don't tell her, he didn't see this opportunity. "So, tell us, any of those beauties did anything for you?" Ya know? Genny looked at Sam for assistance. He was the guy, he was supposed to be gross and objective and stuff, not her. Although Sam was the worst guy to go to, to assist in being a traditional man friend. He was way too progressive and nonchalant about David's love life.
Except when it came to Genny going on a date with him to the ministry soiree... mkay, let's not bring that up again. |
