I still think my house placement is weird." She'd honestly expected to be Slytherin. But considering that's where Lucas had been placed too, she didn't much mind being in a different house. She usually got in trouble for rule breaking, huh? "I mean, couldn't we technically find you a lizard and sneak in into the castle? I don't remember if those were on the approved animal list or not..." The only animal she interested in having was her own owl, and she knew that was okay, so she didn't pay much attention. "He can't get mad at you for having it if you're all the way here!" But if it wasn't approved, Professor's could. And they had already covered Aboli did not want to get in trouble with the Professors. She focused again on what the other girl was saying about current animals, before STARING slightly at her ending statement. Did she just say she wanted to keep her dogs bones when he died? "Why?" The only logical question.
Chewing multiple made sense, and K was embarrassed to remember that DUH there was magically enhanced fruity flavored gum. "That is definitely a good idea. Sometimes I forget about magic." Which was silly considering her house was all mags, but they liked so many muggle things she just would forget about magic outside of assisting her laziness and school work. And sometimes even forget school work. She laughed at her reasoning for mint, nodding her head in agreement that that WAS important. "But do you have your eyes on someone?" Because everyone at Hogwarts was ridiculously good looking, so there must be someone? "You're gorgeous. Someone'll be begging for a snog soon, watch." K couldn't help but flush at her next words, but smile sheepishly her way anyways. "Told you about that, did he?" Not that that was a problem, she was kind of glad he had mentioned even with their talking about not being super public about their ... friendship for reasons. Raspberry? "I will if it's FRESH raspberry. Imitation flavoring for raspberry is gross, at least with anything not like a lollipop." Because those were acceptable.
Another laugh at her next words. Which K was finding unexpected that she was laughing at all because she'd wondered if this interaction would be forced and weird. "I understand that. My sister's and I are always at each other's throat. I would have done much better with a bunch of brothers." You know, because CLEARLY she and Lucas were angels towards each other. Maybe she would have just been better off as an only child. "Do you and your brother get into it a bit or not really?"
She was definitely jealous that magic and studying seemed to come easy to Aboli. Kimmie had such a hard time sitting still for the most part it never seemed she could really focus on her homework. And even then, she spent such a good portion of the last couple of years failing intentionally that now she felt like she was truly behind. "Doesn't Professor Rainwater have an open door policy too though for his office hours? I mean, you could always go see him for some remedial catch up?" Professor Rainwater WAS really nice and he seemed the type that would be excited to further enrich a young mind.
Aboli shook her head
. "No...I wouldn't want to get caught with a contraband animal. Like I said....don't want to get into any trouble my first year here." She would see how she felt next term after a summer off. But Kimmie's face at her bone statement made Aboli just laaaaugh.
"I kind of like dead things. I've always been fascinated, actually. I'm not sure my stepdad would let me..but..." she shrugged.
How could someone forget about magic? Aboli literally never did. It was continuously on her mind, possibly for her own personal reasons. But she was NOT going to give out personal info to Kimmie just yet, so when asked if she had her eyes on anyone she gave a demure roll of her eyes and shook her head.
"Er...no. Not at all. There's plenty attractive blokes here, though, so it's only a matter of time before I do." She said with a nod.
"I like..bad boys. That's my main type." It was such a shame, too, because they were usually quite rude weren't they?
"The more mysterious the better." It was something she had told Noah right away when they had met on the train....well, they had gotten into the discussion about her type. It hadn't been RANDOM or anything.
She and Koko rarely fought anymore now that she thought on it.
"Not really. We understand each other really well, and if I'm ever annoyed with him, I usually just let him. And he does the same for me. Now with our little brother, Liam....HE can be annoying, I guess, because he's a toddler. Cute but ANNOYING," she huffed.
"I guess it's because he doesn't understand anything." He didn't understand how BOTHERSOME he was or what bothersome even meant. She couldn't wait until he could speak properly!
"Oh I've gone to him. He's helping me! Little by little.......maybe I'm just soooOooo hopeless." she sighed. She was trying her best, and Herbology was still......hard. It was frustrating! Aboli was usually good at stuff!
