Sam was also under the impression that they would both just wait in line at the vendor? But wouldn't object if she wanted to sit somewhere while he got the food. She was the one who just played an entire quidditch match, after all.

Okay, wait, so Sam wasn't invited? "What, no plus-ones?" He listened as Genny explained that David had applied for the ministry and, from what he gathered through Genny's sub-par explanation, Genny was accompanying David to the Ministry Ball. "Is this the same ball that we went to together?" Because again, Genny was not good with details, much to Sam's dismay. He kept his composure, although he wasn't exactly ecstatic over the idea of another guy taking his girlfriend to some fancy soiree.
