Missa was feeling a range of emotions, but the most prominent one was .... a certain kind of disappointment. She had expected herself to feel even more frustrated than usual but there was something more here that she was clearly not understanding, even after all this time.

She couldn’t even tell if the disappointment she felt was because of his behaviour or her own lack of understanding.

“Good thing you will be done with this place soon then” she found herself saying even before she knew it. “Then you won’t have to deal with any of it anymore, or anyone. ” Her voice was quiet, not accusing or taunting - instead it was filled with sadness she couldn’t hide.
