For now.
Ooooooooh yeah, mentioning that made her head hurt again. Bernie reached up and tenderly rubbed the nubbin on her skull that was courtesy of Odaline. "It'll recover," she sniffed imperiously. "I'm Bernadette, by the way. I have a name. Not just 'the one Odaline hit in the head.'" She stared intensely at the older girl to give the OpPorTuNiTy to state her name also.
It was good that the girl had put her wand away. Aboli felt safer. She didn't trust A. Gryffindors or B. younger students with their wands, so...the other girl had a double-whammy of distrust from Aboli in regard to her magic use.
"I was home-schooled. I had a private tutor," she said simply. "
It's my OWL year so...I wanted to be in SCHOOL for it. Not to mention being veeeeeery lonely without many people my age to hang out with," she shruuuugged. Made that seem like the SECONDARY reason, when really it was probably the MAIN reason. But she just didn't want people to know that. Aboli Song? Pfft. she wasn't LONELY
or desperate for friends or anything.
Bernadette.
"I think I've heard people say your name in classes...Bernadette. Got it. I'm Aboli," she nodded, keeping her hands behind her back as she merely smiled at the girl.
"Why do you want to find those paintings anyway? They caused a LOT of trouble last term...right?"
It seemed.......like Bernadette was ASKING for trouble.
