Noah helped himself to a pancake or two and then fell silent, listening to Ethan describe his thought process on eternal hunger. Exercise more?! But.. but.. "But I already workout twice a day. I do a run, practice bal- dancing, and then do abs and weights." It was an extreme regiment for sure but it resulted in a great bod that he felt confident in. After Ewan had asked for the syrup by the summoning charm, Noah picked it up (as it was at the table) and poured it on his pancakes. "These smell wonderful." Much better than the storemade mix his friends tried to make back at Illvermorny.
His mouth was filled with pancakes when Ewan asked his question. So he chewed, chewed, and chewed. Then he swallowed. "I love it. The Professors are stricter but I've enjoyed classes thus far and meeting people," said Noah with a grin. There were a certain few people that had made his initial start at this school pretty memorable. *AHEM* "Homework's not too bad either. But yeah... really enjoying it. Have you been at Hogwarts for all your years?"
Ewan laughed a little in between mouthfuls before finally replying
”I know the feeling. But then I just say I’m a growing boy and I need the food to grow” although if he kept growing at this rate, he’d be the size of a cave troll. He was more than content at being 6ft4 thank you very much. Maybe there was a spell that could take an inch or two off? Or…he could just leave Hogwarts and become a professional basketball player?
Ewan just listened to Noah’s training routine and the uh…’Dancing’ that he did and just nodded.
”Dancing take a lot of fitness man. Especially Ballet dancing. That was what you were going to say, right?” he wasn’t sure if the boy was embarrassed to admit it or if he was just reading it all wrong but he figured he ought to get it out there that, to be honest, he didn’t really care. Ballet dancing looked haaaaard! He wasn’t about to judge anyone for trying to do that for hours on end.
”I only really run and lift weights but I love climbing”, although he found himself having less and less time to do it these days. If he moved back home to Wales, he had a feeling it was something that might just fall to the side all together.
Finishing off his first plate of pancakes, Ewan took a few more and poured on the syrup when Noah had finished and continued to feast on the fluffy little treats.
”That’s good. One of the best things about Hogwarts is hanging out with your friends when you don’t have lessons” he replied as he skewered another piece of pancake with his work, quickly shoving it into his mouth before the syrup could completely run off. He just nodded as a reply to the last question as he chewed, then answered once his mouth was empty
”Yup. This is my seventh year now. I did miss the second half of my second year but I was back for my third. Haven’t missed a year since” and he’d only missed that because of a family emergency. There were times when he did think about not coming back, like this year for example, but he’d always returned. This place was his home and he loved it here.
