Always someone around to keep him company.
"I can see why another creature may try to eat one because well... lets be honest here... some creatures just aren't the smartest." Sorry but it was true. "I hope humans aren't silly enough to eat one." The first year made a face in disgust. He knew plenty of people ate frogs legs but he was not one of those people.
Rather than continue to explain himself, he let the topic of frog capturing go. There wasn't much point in making a fuss over it. He knew how to respect creatures and their homes.
The Prefect's silence didn't do anything more than confirm what Lukas already knew. His years at Hogwarts were going to be a wild ride and he was here for it. If his family before him had made it through, then he would too.
He made a good point. Some creatures were stupid, but you had to be starving and in desperate need of food to really understand. If a frog was in front of you and you were starving, maybe the colours on the back of it weren’t poisonous? [B]”Maybe but I guess you’d have to be a creature to find that out”[B]. Maybe one day he’d actually finish his animagus preparations and actually do it. Then he could tell the boy exactly what it was like, although he hoped that he didn’t end up as a frog, or worse, a toad!
Sensing that the boy wanted to let the subject of frog capturing drop, he did the same, not really bothering to push it all that much. He seemed smart. He’d get the picture.
Still with his hands behind his head, the prefect closed his eyes as his mind drifted towards the castle, and more specifically, what was going to be served for lunch.
