He wasn’t exactly sure he wanted to share them but you know, for a fellow second breakfast person, he could make an exception.
Finishing off the pancake in his hand, he turned back into the pantry and moments later, returned with the rest of the left over pancakes, all in a silver tray, still looking light, fluffy and all so tempting.
”You want some?” because sharing was caring, right?
The prefect headed over to one of the tables and left the pancakes there in search of some cutlery. Now that he wasn’t on his own, manners suddenly became a lot more important. As did knives and forks and syrup! SYRUP!
”You’re Noah, right?” Another youngish Gryffindor if his memory served him well from the sorting ceremony. Somehow, he seemed to be finding himself surrounded by Gryffindors there days. Between the DADA fiasco with those two little cubs and now Noah, he was starting to wonder where all the Ravenclaws were at? He didn’t mind Gryffindors though. Honestly, they were perfectly fine when they weren’t playing hero. He’d never seen Noah endangers fellow students though so everything was hunky-dory.
Pancakes? PANCAKES? Noah had fallen in love with pancakes at Illvermorny. His parents had never made them at home because they feared he and his siblings would become addicted. However, his closest mate at Illvermorny introduced him to the delicacy with the best Canadian maple syrup in the whole world. The whole experience made the boy a little... spoiled when it came to breakfast food.
And now the older boy was offering him some of the pancake. Noah stared momentarily before flashing him a smile. "
Wow! Sure, thanks Ewan!" he offered him a happy grin. Sharing WAS caring. And he liked Ewan already. He had appreciated the older boy's strategy in their first DADA class but unfortunately fate would have other plans for them...
Oh? He remembered his name? Noah was touched. "
Yes, I'm Noah. And you're Ewan," he said with a nod before taking a seat in the kitchens. He glanced around him, taking in the delicious smells of the kitchens. "
It smells so good down here..." His stomach grumbled. He glanced to the older boy with a sheepish smile. "
Does the eternal hunger ever go away?"
