She waited until the girl had thrown the toy, and then took off like a lightning bolt. Hopefully this child knew how to run, because she was determined to catch the mouse toy before it hit the ground. Fiona leaaaaaaaaaapt for it, and snagged it in her mouth, skidding in the dirt as she held on tight to the mousie toy.
What next? She turned around and padded back to the younger girl, with the green House emblem on her robes. Fiona dropped the toy at her feet and looked up expectantly.

She was still upset about what had happened, but she couldn't help but giggle when Fiona leapt in the air to snag the toy. That cat was certainly a character.
"Don't worry about it, Isla," Avalon said in response to the Slytherin's apology. "I should have known better than to drop the leash." And she really meant it - Isla didn't need to apologize. She offered the girl a smile in reassurance and nodded at her suggestion to just stay on the perimeter of the course for now. She didn't want to take any more chances, and she had to agree with Isla's notion that they were definitely not Professor Williamson's favorite students right now. "I think she wants something from you first," Avalon said, gesturing to the wampus, who was staring at Isla intently.
As Isla watched the wampus take off after the toy, she couldn't help run along. Of course she didn't keep up with the creature, but she was able to meet her right by the toy not longer after she'd gotten there.
"I'm not taking anymore chances," she said to Avalon, who'd decided to jog along, as well. Not that she had much choice with her holding the leash and all.
"I think she's looking for a treat, but she doesn't seem to like the ones we have." Look, beggars can't choosers, Fiona.
Isla gave Avalon another apologetic look.
"It's not your fault. I guess it's not mine either. I've never even seen a wampus before today." And after that earlier incident, she'd be okay with not seeing one for quite a while longer. She nodded when Avalon pointed out that the Wampus seemed to want something from her.
"Professor? You have any other flavors in those treats you've got?" she asked. Maybe it was just the flavor of the treats they'd offered? Catnip and wild deer were two very different things, after all.
