Alexandre jumped when Professor Rainwater appeared. He backed up away from the workstation and sat in the first empty chair he came upon. He had a few thoughts about this situation. First of all, it wouldn't have been that out of the question to think he might have been one of the frogs. This was Hogwarts, after all. Weird things happened all the time. Animagi existed. Secondly, he was pretty sure you didn't get to choose your animagus form so the professor wouldn't have a choice whether or not he was a toad. THIRD, he thought the professor was being a little rude to the toads. Okay yes they did look a bit gross but Alexandre liked them. They were cool. He was wondering where they came from, and where they lived, and if they belonged to anybody.
Okay, right, class time. Question time. What did he know about toadstools? Not much. "Um, I think you can eat them? Or...toads eat them?" They must have had something to do with toads, right? They were called toadstools after all. |
