She likely would have made herself feel guilty all on her own. When he said her name Islay just looked him in the eyes and stood there her eyes tracking over his face for any sign of hurt…he just looked almost concerned. Her body stilled the moment he grabbed onto her shoulders, she had almost forgotten how strong he was. Of course he had beauty products, it had been one of the things she had picked up all those years ago in France. Besides, did his face have faults, she was still quite sure that even if it did people would find them charming. ”okay, okay good – I’m still sorry” she told him after he had admitted that she had not hurt him.
Good, her shoulders relaxed a bit and wait SHE OWED HIM ONE? She tried to keep her lips from quirking into the curious little smirk she knew was playing at the edges. ”oh I owe you?” she asked looking up at him and tilting her head just slightly, ”what did you have in mind? Or is this one of those in the future when I lease expect it kind of deals?”
She was too cute for words with the way she was so concerned about him.
"You should think about being a Healer." What with her apologies and her compassion. She reminded him of his sister actually, that's what she was like when he had been growing up. Of course after their mother went off the rails, his elder siblings had no choice but to step up and be the parent.
But he didn't want to think about that now, not when he had a beautiful girl in front of him. Oh that little smile and the tilt of the head.
"Mmmm." He gave her a little smirk and also tilted his head to the side.
"Well my cheek is stinging a little. You know, maybe you could kiss it better?"
