So...that had happened. Um.
Eiji was not exactly well practiced with the spell he had used, but he certainly had never imagined that the horse would just be swallowed up by the ground like that. Entirely. His vision had been that just the legs would be and maybe a bit of the torso but...well...his horse was incapacitated in any case soooooooooo the seventh year was going to call THAT a victory and just sort of meander away from the whole scene with his now very asymmetrical robes.
It had been necessary and not in an attempt to make any sort of fashion statement.
Listening to the next set of instructions, Eiji once again found himself sighing internally. He didn't want to defend the school. He just wanted to stay away from the water which would also keep him away from any kelpies and therefore problem solved. Ah if only...
Shoving his hands into his pockets, the Slytherin debated which team to join and scrutinized each of it's present members. Typically he wouldn't even give it a second thought when he saw either of two very specific females on one of the teams...but today he was being driven by a slightly different urge. Remember the rhetorical question about who would blindly hop on to the back of a random horse and then get themselves killed? Yeah. That.
So he would be joining the team that Bernadette was on....thus he sluggishly made his way over to the forming group and merely bowed his head to acknowledge that he would be joining them.
