Perhaps if he thought up a strategy instead of casting spell after spell... Cole started second guessing his move the minute the spell had left his wand. It was supposed to give him the upper hand over the horse but it only made the horse angrier and. He didn’t have time to back up before the horse was all over him, knocking him to the ground before it continued running.
Ears ringing and feeling like the air had been knocked out of his lungs Cole lied on the ground for several moments, trying to gain his breath and not feel the aches. His moves so far we’re epic failures which his current position was clear evidence of. With some force of energy the blond youth got up on his feet. He needed a distraction. Maybe dangling a carrot could work?
Before Cole could test his new idea out they were given new instructions to group up for the main event. It didn’t give him confidence to hear their headmaster fear for their lives. He thought about joining Naya, but then decided to try something different and headed over to where Isla, Bernie and Avalon we’re standing. "Hey girls, I hope it’s okay if i join the purple gang?"Still aching from the horse experience he asked "So how shall we take down the kelpie? With distraction and force or?"
